Looking for a fun and nostalgic attraction to add to your London itinerary? If you’re a fan of the iconic TV show Friends™, you’re in for a treat. We recently had the opportunity to visit The FRIENDS™ Experience: The One in London, and it was everything we hoped it would be!
I went along with my two daughters and a friend of my eldest daughter, and from the moment we stepped in, it felt like we’d walked straight into the world of Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or just looking for something exciting to do with the family, this immersive experience is well worth checking out.
What Is The Friends Experience London?
The Friends Experience London is an interactive, immersive walk-through attraction at Immerse LDN, located at the ExCeL Waterfront in East London. Open until September 2025, it lets you step into recreated sets, see authentic props and costumes, and relive your favourite moments from the beloved series.
It’s family-friendly, packed with photo opportunities, and includes a mix of New York nostalgia and exclusive “London, Baby!” moments from the episodes filmed in the UK.
What You’ll See & Do
There’s a lot to experience, and every corner offers a new iconic moment. We were fortunate to have a VIP photo pass, which gave us extra opportunities to capture some fantastic shots in key locations. Here are some of our favourite highlights:
- The fountain from the intro: As soon as those famous doors opened, we were greeted by the Friends fountain. It was surreal to see it in real life, and it made for a truly memorable photo opportunity.
- Rachel’s 18-page letter (front and back!): A hilarious and detailed prop that every fan will appreciate. Yes, it’s all there!
- “London, Baby!” section: A brilliant nod to the episodes filmed in the UK. There’s even a traditional red phone booth that rings — and I picked it up to hear Phoebe on the line!
- The recreated London wedding location is perfect for group shots and some laughs.
- Joey and Chandler’s apartment: Recliners, foosball, and that classic mismatched furniture. We could’ve spent ages here!
- The hallway and Monica & Rachel’s apartment: The attention to detail was spot-on. Walking through the purple door felt like stepping onto the actual set.
- Central Perk: We sat on the sofa, held coffee props, and just soaked up the vibe. I even grabbed a guitar and pretended to sing Smelly Cat — Phoebe style!
- The café: After all the exploring, we stopped for hot chocolates, a cappuccino, hot dogs and cookies — the perfect way to end the experience.
- The gift shop: Before heading out, we picked up our photos and browsed the exclusive merchandise on offer. There are so many cute things, from Hugsy toys to Central Perk mugs.
